Meet the Staff At Buhr’s:
Herb Buhr, President of Buhr’s Landscaping, started landscaping in 1966 while he was a co-owner of DeKalb Florist. In 1974, he sold his interest in the florist in order to put all of his time and energy into the landscape business.

Angela Kurth, Administrator and Secretary/Treasurer has been working for the company in an administrative capacity for 20 years. She oversees all daily operations.

Scott Kaelin, Certified Landscape Technician and Field Supervisor. He is an active member of the Illinois Contractors Association and is site coordinator for landscape technician testing in Illinois. Scott has been working for the company for 14 years.

Carolyn Stahl, Production Manager Carolyn is an Illinois Certified Nurseryman and State Licensed Chemical Operator. She is an active member of the Illinois Nurseryman’s association and holds an A.A.S. Degree in ornamental horticulture from Kishwaukee College. She has been managing the retail center since 1993.

Ginny Stokes, State Licensed Chemical Operator and Landscape Foreman, has been beautifying the gardens in DeKalb for 11 years. Her own gardens, as well as those of some of her clients have been featured on the DeKalb area Garden walks.
